To capture on film

It seems that every time I have something important planned, the weather chooses to misbehave. Wednesday was no exception. In scheduling a photo session with the lovely Tanya Alexis, I didn’t anticipate heavy rain. Come mid-week, however, it appeared as though the sky had opened with all of its very being. Torrential. Sideways. Downpour. (To put it lightly.)

Of course, sometimes what begins as the “worst” experience can end so favorably. At least in my humble opinion (remember, I was married during a hurricane). The day of our shoot we met at a bookstore in DUMBO (Tanya was an absolute champ with last minute modifications). I immediately fell in love with with our indoor location; Tanya was able to capture so much of Peanut. And then, when the weather finally broke (a brief and welcome respite!) we were able to move outdoors. The result is beautiful yet playful, with some familiar New York landmarks in the background.

I love it.

Here’s a sneak peak.
